Matías Canelson

Matias was born in Argentina and has spent over 20 years shaping stories through editing. His career kicked off in 2001 at CuatroCabezas, where he dove into the world of prime-time TV shows, cutting hits like El Rayo and CQC—both known for their sharp, innovative editing. A few years later, he joined Endemol Argentina’s drama TV post production team, working on major productions and where he met the colleagues with whom, in 2006, he co-founded WANCAMP, a boutique post-production studio, marking his first steps into advertising and branded content.

In 2012, Matias took his craft international, moving to Colombia to work at Cinecolor Digital, the largest post-production company in Latin America. There, he expanded his expertise beyond advertising, stepping into feature films as an assistant editor. Two years later, Miami became his next chapter, where he moved to edit commercials and promos for the U.S. Hispanic market at Right Cut Media. By 2021, he made the leap into the agency world, joining VML, editing pitches, commercials, and Case-Studies for international brands with creative teams in New York, Chicago, Kansas, Seattle and Miami. His portfolio includes work for The Coca-Cola Company, Wendy’s, Subway, Claro, Discovery Networks, DishLATINO, and more.

Over the years, Matias has shaped content seen by millions, earning recognition at top industry international festivals like Cannes Lions, The Clios, One Show, London International Awards (LIA), and El Ojo de Iberoamérica. His work blends compelling storytelling with expert technical execution, always seeking new ways to tell stories that connect with audiences.

Today, he lives in Miami with his wife, Andrea Messina (ADF), and his two best renders, Bruno and Vera.
