Luiza Gonçalves
Luiza Gonçalves (1997) is an editor and filmmaker living in Buenos Aires. She graduated from Pratt Institute, where she was president of the 16mm film lab and educator. Since 2016, she has been working as a freelance editor in film and video installation. Her short, “A Banana Tree Is No Coincidence” won the Lino Micciché award for best film at the 57th Mostra Internazionale del Nuovo Cinema in Pesaro. Her films have been projected internationally in Beijing, Vienna and New York. She earned her Masters in Audiovisual Filmmaking and Preservation at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. In 2022 she was selected for the international workshop Talents Buenos Aires. She is currently studying History of Latin American and Argentine Art at the Universidad Nacional de San Martín in Argentina.
